From: Peter Nestler (7-Time World Jump Rope Champion and 11-Time Guinness World Records Holder)
To: PE Teachers
My rope skipping career started in a small town PE Class in 1987. The Elementary PE Teacher at Glacier Valley, Mr. Berry, saw a video of a jump rope team and decided that this was the sport he needed to add to his curriculum. Little did I know how much that decision would affect the rest of my life.
Of course in the 80’s the only option he had was to network with other PE teachers and cobble together what ideas he could find. He quickly put together the best options and introduced it to our school. It was a huge hit! There were students jumping rope all over the place. Our school quickly added a jump rope team that went on to win 7 consecutive World Championships. I was fortunate enough to be part of this group as we traveled the world sharing one of the most fun activities available.
As a professional rope skipper, I’ve had the opportunity to visit thousands of schools throughout the world. I often get asked one question as I’m chatting with the PE Teacher. “What’s the best way to teach jump rope to my students?” One thing you should know is that
What’s the secret? I just finished filming a new jump rope curriculum on just how to do it. I teamed up with a veteran PE Teacher (Tommy Hager who’s been teaching PE for over 15 years) and we show you how to do everything from setting up your classroom, teaching Kindergarten, station ideas and more! We have a ton of practical ideas that we want to share with you.
I want to send you some free videos that you can use right now to learn some Single Rope, Double Dutch and Chinese Wheel skills! Also, I want to share some quick tips to help your PE Class. Just put your name and email address in the sign-up box below and I will send you a link to the videos.
